【전북교육신문】전주시가 청소년 중독예방을 위해 전주생명과학고등학교와 손잡고 중독예방 모범학교 운영에 나선다.
전주시중독관리통합지원센터는 18일 전주생명과학고에서 ‘2026년 중독예방 모범학교 운영을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 청소년이 음주와 마약, 도박, 인터넷 등 4대 중독 위험에 노출되기 전 예방교육과 조기 개입을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 양 기관은 올해 전주생명과학고 학생과 교직원, 학부모를 대상으로 상설 전시와 캠페인, 맞춤형 중독예방교육, 조기선별검사, 참여형 특별활동 등을 추진할 계획이다.
전주시는 청소년기가 각종 중독 유해 환경에 처음 노출되는 시기인 만큼, 이때의 경험이 성인기 만성 중독으로 이어질 가능성이 커 선제적 예방이 중요하다고 설명했다.
실제로 보건복지부 국립정신건강센터의 ‘2025년 중독 주요 지표 모음집’에 따르면 2024년 기준 전북 청소년 현재 음주율은 12%로 전국 평균 9.7%보다 높았다. 전북 청소년의 평생 음주 경험률도 35.4%로 전국 평균 30.7%를 웃돌았다.
곽준 전주시중독관리통합지원센터장은 “청소년기는 중독 문제에 노출될 경우 만성화될 위험이 큰 만큼 조기 개입이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “학교와 지역사회가 함께하는 촘촘한 안전망을 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
김신선 전주시보건소장은 “청소년들이 일상에서 중독의 위험성을 인지하고 스스로를 보호할 수 있도록 건강한 교육 환경을 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
