Park Beom-hoon School Piri Sanjo Preservation Society to Showcase an Ensemble of Pusal, Gyeonggi Sinawi, Seodo Folk Songs, and Sogo Dance

The National Folk Museum of Korean Music, headed by Director Kim Joong-hyun, will present the K-Gugak Stage performance “Welcoming Spring with the Sound of the Piri” at 3 p.m. on April 4 at Yewondang Hall of the National Folk Museum of Korean Music.

Founded in 2013, the Park Beom-hoon School Piri Sanjo Preservation Society is dedicated to preserving and passing on the piri sanjo style established by master musician Park Beom-hoon. Since its inaugural general meeting and concert in September 2014, the group has continued both performance and academic activities across a wide range of piri music, including piri sanjo, sinawi, pungnyu, folk songs, and creative Korean traditional music, contributing actively to the development of Korean piri music.
