【전북교육신문】전주의 로컬 문화기획팀 ‘어반스트라이커즈 전주(URBAN STRIKERS JEONJU)’ 가 4월 4일 저녁 8시 전자음악 공간 해상도(HAESANGDO)와 해결 리스닝룸(전주시 충경로 37 지하 • 2층)에서 전자음악과 시각예술, 문학이 결합된 다원예술 프로젝트 <제 5회 BOLD : GOOD>을 개최한다.
이번 제 5회 BOLD 《GOOD》 은 전주 지역에서 오랫동안 가시화되지 못했던 전자음악 씬(Scene)의 존재를 보다 직접적으로 드러내고자 하는 기획이다.
팀 ‘어반스트라이커즈 전주’ 는 이 실체조차 찾기 어렵고, ‘없다’ 라고도 불리는 지역 씬의 부재를 한국적 정서와 종교적 전통의 맥락인 '굿(巫祭)'의 언어로 돌파하고자 한다. 팀은 ‘보이지 않는 것’ 들은 ‘없는 것’ 인가? 라는 질문에서 출발해, 이러한 씬을 갈망하거나, 목격하고자 하는 바램을 모아 신(神)을 불러내듯, 지역과 지역 너머를 연결하고, 사람, 씬(Scene)을 불러낸다.
동양의 종교적 실천, 한국의 무속적 전통 안에서 '굿(巫祭)' 은, 신탁을 내려받거나 수동적으로 하늘의 예언을 기다리는 행위가 아니었다. 소리와, 몸, 제물과 염원, 적극적인 요청과 명확한 목적을 기반으로 이 세계에 없는 것을 끌어들이는 능동적 실천이었다. 은 이러한 전통적 태도를 차용하여, 회피나 이주가 아닌, 자신이 발 딛은 지역을 직접 고쳐나가고자 하는 태도를 핵심 정신으로 삼는다.
구성으로는 주로 전자음악, 시각예술, 문학으로 나뉜다. 음악팀은 전자음악 디제잉을 중심으로 진행한다. 참여 DJ는 MINDWICH, XS, IF, CASHTRAY, SINGLE LEG, MOONICE, THANG, 3D3N, HANFLO 총 9인으로, 지역 내 외의 아티스트들이 각자의 색을 지닌 세트를 통해 굿판의 소리적 층위를 구성한다.
미술팀은 공간 전체를 하나의 제단이자 씬으로 변환하는 설치 작업을 선보인다. 매드김(MAD KIM, 김성빈), 작호(ZAKHO, 최혁), 한준 으로 구성된 3인의 청년 작가들은 ‘기원’ 이라는 행위를 묶어내어 연대할 수 있는 참여미술 작업과 제단의 형식을 통해 공간을 구성한다.
문학팀 Q, WEOL DAM(월담) 두 예술가들은 시와 글을 활용해 공간 곳곳의 드러나지 않았던 것들에 이름을 돌려내는 ‘언어적 기도’ 를 긋는다.

유일하게 턱을 가지지 못한 남성 탈로, 어딘가 바보스럽거나 몸이 불편한 장애를 표현하는 ‘이매탈’ 을 오브제로 사용해, 자신을 표현하지 못하는 불편한 상태를 극복하고자 하는 의지를 익살스럽게 은유한 조형작업과, 디제잉과 전통 국악을 접목하여 과거의 ‘리듬’을 현대의 문화로 이어가는 음악 장르적 재해석, 디지털 라이브 드로잉 등을 진행했다.
<탈>이 시내권 가까이에 있음에도 1년 가까이 ‘임대’ 현수막이 걸려있는 공실 공간을 대여하여 사람이 다니지 않는 거리, 모두가 나간 유휴 공간에 새로운 활력을 불어넣고자 하는 게릴라성 프로젝트였다면. 이번 에서는 더 나아가 지역 전자음악 씬의 활성화를 목적으로 한다. 지난 2월 개소된 ‘공간 해상도(HAESANGDO)’ 를 거점으로 삼아, 제도나 관성적 시선 안에서 지워져 ‘없는 것’ 처럼 느껴지는 부유하는 ‘씬’ 들이 조금 더 단단한 뿌리를 내리고 정착하여, 더욱 넓게 확장되는 기반이 되기를 목적한다.
