Jeonju City will introduce a new travel program called 'Jeonju Stay' where participants can enjoy reading and relaxation along with books.

Jeonju City announced on the 1st that the program will be operated from the 16th to October 16th, where participants can spend over 2 hours in unique libraries in Jeonju, reading accommodations, neighborhood bookstores, bakeries, music spaces, and other cultural spaces to enjoy reading, experiences, contemplation, and relaxation together.

The program is divided into a half-day course called 'Book Day' and a 1 night 2 days course called 'Book Night.' 'Book Day' will be operated four times with 10 participants each time, offering an immersive reading program that connects Jeonju's libraries and cultural spaces with themes such as books, sentences, values, music, and bread.

'Book Night' will be operated twice with 20 participants each time, offering a stay-type reading program over 1 night and 2 days at the reading accommodation, Book & Type Hotel. The first session will be held on the 16th to 17th, and the second session on September 10th to 11th, featuring reading gatherings, mind healing programs, contemplative nights, and more.

Applications can be made through the Jeonju City Library's website starting from the 1st, and subsequent programs can be applied for three weeks before the travel date.

Lee Young-seob, Director of the Jeonju City Library and Lifelong Learning Promotion Division, stated, "We will expand differentiated programs to promote the value of bookstores and cultural spaces throughout Jeonju beyond just libraries, allowing people to experience the joy of traveling with books."
