【전북교육신문】전북특별자치도가 2026년 협약형 특성화고 공모 선정을 위해 지자체·교육청·기업·학교 간 협력체계를 구축하고 본격 대응에 나섰다.
전북자치도는 17일 전주 라한호텔에서 김종훈 경제부지사와 유정기 교육감 권한대행, 시·군, 기업, 학교 등 30여 개 기관이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 협약형 특성화고 컨소시엄 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 공모에는 남원용성고가 스마트 농생명 융합 분야, 원광보건고가 바이오·헬스케어 분야로 참여한다. 각 학교를 중심으로 지자체와 대학, 기업 등이 참여하는 컨소시엄도 구성됐다.
협약에 따라 관계 기관들은 정주 여건 조성과 행·재정 지원, 교육과정 자율성 확대, 교원 지원, 현장실습과 채용 연계, 맞춤형 교육과정 공동 개발 등에 협력하게 된다. 이를 통해 지역 산업에 필요한 실무형 인재를 양성한다는 계획이다.
협약형 특성화고는 교육부 공모사업으로, 선정되면 5년간 최대 45억 원의 특별교부금과 함께 교육과정 운영 자율성 등 다양한 지원이 제공된다.
전북자치도는 2024년 한국치즈과학고, 2025년 수소에너지고가 잇따라 선정된 데 이어, 이번 공모까지 선정될 경우 3년 연속 성과를 거두게 된다.
김종훈 전북자치도 경제부지사는 “지역 인재가 전북에서 배우고 일하며 정착하는 구조를 만드는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “교육과 산업이 연계된 실질적 성과 창출을 위해 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
