【전북교육신문】정읍시가 어린이들의 안전한 등하원 환경 조성을 위해 오는 23일 관내 어린이집 통학버스를 대상으로 합동점검을 실시한다.

정읍시는 현장 점검과 함께 어린이 보호구역 내 안전수칙 준수를 위한 계도 활동도 병행한다. 점검 결과 미비 사항이 확인되면 현장에서 즉시 시정하도록 지도하고 신속한 보완을 요청할 방침이다.
시는 이번 상반기 점검에 포함되지 않은 시설에 대해서도 하반기 중 순차적으로 점검을 이어갈 계획이다.
이학수 정읍시장은 “아이들이 매일 이용하는 통학버스는 무엇보다 안전이 최우선이어야 한다”며 “아이들은 안심하고 등원하고 부모는 마음 놓고 일상을 보낼 수 있도록 촘촘한 안전망을 구축하겠다”고 말했다.
