전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)이 한지의 예술적 가치와 현대적 확장 가능성을 조명하는 ‘제32회 전국한지공예대전’ 작품 공모를 진행한다.
이번 공모는 한지공예 창작 기반을 강화하고, 역량 있는 작가를 발굴하며 한지 산업의 지속 가능한 발전 방안을 모색하고자 마련됐다.
올해로 32회를 맞는 전국한지공예대전은 그간 한지 분야를 대표하는 공모전으로 자리매김해왔다. 특히 전통 공예기법과 현대적 디자인 및 실용성을 접목한 다양한 작품이 꾸준히 출품돼 한지공예의 문화적 가치와 산업적 가능성을 널리 인정받아왔다.
공모 분야는 한지를 주재료로 한 분야를 대상으로 하며, 크게 세 부문으로 나뉜다. 세부적으로는 ▲전통(지호, 지승, 색지, 지장, 지화, 부채, 수록지 등) ▲현대(한지조형, 의상, 닥종이인형, 한지그림, 한지부조, 한지등, 한지종이접기 등) ▲문화상품 및 기타(문화상품, 창작한지, 응용한지 등) 로 구성된다.
수상은 대상 1명, 최우수상 2명, 우수상 3명, 장려상 5명, 특별상 15명 등 총 26명의 본상 수상자를 선정한다. 이와 함께 특선과 입선작도 별도로 선정해 공예인들에게 폭넓은 수상 및 전시 기회를 제공할 예정이다.
심사는 예술성·전통성·창의성을 종합적으로 평가해 공정하게 진행된다. 수상작은 전주한지문화축제 기간 중 전시를 통해 공개되며, 한지공예의 우수성과 다양성을 널리 알릴 것으로 기대된다.
