Jeonbuk Education Office to Enhance Competency of Vocational High School Employment Support Officers

The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education will host a '2026 Employment Support Officer Capacity Enhancement Training' at Korea University of Technology and Education in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do from the 11th to the 13th.

This training is designed to enhance the professionalism of employment support officers who connect vocational high school students with local industries, and strengthen successful employment for students and their connection with local industries.

A total of 17 employment support officers working in 14 vocational high schools in the province, including Gunsan Mechanical High School, Jeonju High School, and Hydrogen Energy High School, participated in the training.

The three-day training program consisted of key policy guidance from the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education, strategies for identifying employment opportunities, basic and advanced vocational counseling, practical establishment of employment plans, and guidance on field practice manuals.

In particular, the training focused on enhancing on-site-centered employment support capabilities such as identifying employment opportunities and building networks with local industries, guidance on resume and cover letter writing, interview coaching, student counseling, and motivation.

This year, new courses have been introduced to enhance employment guidance using generative artificial intelligence and improve work productivity. Through this, plans are in place to enhance AI-based employment support capabilities such as support for writing cover letters, predicting interview questions, and more.
