【전북교육신문】전주세계소리축제(조직위원장 최철, 이하 소리축제)가 전통 판소리와 인공지능(AI) 기술을 결합한 참여형 공모전 「AI 판소리 창작 프로젝트 – AI 판소리 한마당 : 新(신)소리, 新(신)바람」을 진행하고 있다.
이번 프로젝트는 전 국민 누구나 자신의 이야기를 바탕으로 생성형 AI를 활용해 판소리 기반 영상 콘텐츠를 직접 제작할 수 있도록 기획된 프로그램으로, 전통예술과 디지털 기술이 결합된 새로운 창작 경험을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다.
접수는 오는 6일 오후 3시까지 이메일(pr3@sorifestival.com)을 통해 진행되며, 참가신청서와 개인정보 수집·이용 동의서, 영상 파일 등을 하나의 ZIP 파일로 압축해 제출해야 한다. 참가 자격은 대한민국 국민이라면 누구나 가능하며 개인 또는 단체 형태로 지원할 수 있고, 나이·경력·지역 등 별도의 제한은 없다.
출품 작품은 2분 이상 3분 이하의 AVI 또는 MP4 파일(Full HD 1080p 이상)로 제작해야 한다. 실사 촬영 기반 영상, 애니메이션, 모션그래픽 등 형식에는 제한이 없다. 음악과 영상 모두 생성형 AI 프로그램을 활용해 제작해야 하며 AI 활용 비율에는 제한이 없지만, 영상 시작 또는 종료 시 생성형 AI를 활용해 제작된 콘텐츠임을 반드시 명시해야 한다.
심사는 1차 전문가 평가를 통해 총 6개 작품을 선정한 뒤 온라인과 현장 투표를 통해 최종 수상작을 결정하는 방식으로 진행된다. 1차 선정작은 7월 중 소리축제 공식 유튜브를 통해 공개되며 ‘좋아요’ 수를 기반으로 온라인 투표가 진행된다. 이후 8월 13일부터 15일까지 소리축제 놀이마당 야외 특설무대에서 현장 QR 투표가 병행되며 관객이 직접 투표에 참여하게 된다. 최종 결과는 온라인과 현장 투표 결과를 종합해 대상 1팀, 우수상 1팀, 장려상 1팀 등 총 3팀을 선정하며 8월 중 발표된다.
수상작에는 대상 100만 원, 우수상 50만 원, 장려상 25만 원의 상금이 지급되며, 선정된 작품은 소리축제 공식 홍보 콘텐츠로 활용되고 축제 현장 상영과 함께 릴스·쇼츠 등 다양한 디지털 콘텐츠로 재가공될 예정이다.
김정수 소리축제 집행위원장은 “판소리가 가진 이야기의 힘에 AI 기술이 더해지면서 누구나 자신의 이야기를 새로운 방식으로 표현할 수 있는 창작 환경을 마련했다”며 “전통예술이 디지털 시대 속에서 어떻게 확장되고 재해석될 수 있는지를 보여주는 동시에, 보다 많은 사람들이 창작의 주체로 참여하는 문화적 변화를 이끌어내는 데 의미가 있다”고 말했다.
Jeonju World Sound Festival, 'AI Pansori Creation Project' Contest
The Jeonju World Sound Festival (organized by Chairman Choi Cheol, hereinafter referred to as the Sound Festival) is conducting a participatory competition called the "AI Pansori Creation Project - AI Pansori Hanmadang: New Sound, New Wind," which combines traditional Pansori and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
This project is designed to allow anyone in the country to create Pansori-based video content using generative AI based on their own stories, providing a new creative experience that combines traditional arts and digital technology.

The first-round selected works will be publicly announced on the official Sound Festival YouTube channel in July, and online voting will be conducted based on the number of 'likes'. Subsequently, from August 13 to 15, on-site QR voting will be conducted at the special outdoor stage of the Sound Festival playground, allowing the audience to participate directly in the voting. The final results will be announced in August, combining the online and on-site voting results to select one grand prize winner, one excellence award winner, and one encouragement award winner.
The grand prize winner will receive 1 million won, the excellence award winner 500,000 won, and the encouragement award winner 250,000 won. The selected works will be used as official promotional content for the Sound Festival, and will be reprocessed into various digital contents such as reels and shorts, in addition to being screened at the festival venue.
Kim Jung-soo, the executive director of the Sound Festival, stated, "By combining the storytelling power of Pansori with AI technology, we have created a creative environment where anyone can express their stories in a new way," and added, "This not only demonstrates how traditional arts can expand and be reinterpreted in the digital age but also signifies a cultural shift where more people actively participate as creators."
