【전북교육신문】고창군은 오는 17일과 18일 고창군립체육관 일원에서 「2026 고창갯벌 버드왓쳐스 데이(Bird Watcher's Day)」를 개최한다. 국가유산청·전북특별자치도·고창군이 공동 주최하는 이번 행사는 유네스코 세계자연유산 고창갯벌의 생태적 가치와 국제적인 철새 서식지로서의 중요성을 대중에게 알리기 위해 마련된 최초의 대규모 공공형 탐조 박람회다.

축제의 열기를 더할 짜릿한 특별 이벤트도 참가자를 기다린다. 행사 첫째 날인 17일(금) 오후에는 고창갯벌 철새를 주제로 한 퀴즈 서바이벌 「버드 마스터 챌린지(골든벨)」가 펼쳐진다. 참가 연령은 초등학교 6학년(만 12세)까지이며, 선착순 50명을 현장 접수한다.
둘째 날인 18일(토) 오후에는 직접 접은 종이새를 날려 장애물을 통과하는 「버드 플라이트 게임」이 열린다. 학생부(초등학교 6학년 이하)와 일반부(중학교 1학년 이상)로 나뉘어 각 부별 50명씩 총 100명이 참가한다. 각 대회 최종 우승자에게는 아이패드와 에어팟 등 풍성한 경품이 주어질 예정이어서 가족 단위 관람객들의 뜨거운 참여가 기대된다.

On the 17th and 18th, Gongju County will host the "2026 Gongju Tidal Flats Bird Watcher's Day" at the Gongju County Sports Complex.
