참가자들은 해상교량 대신 해저터널 공법과 내륙 도로망 개선 등 친환경 대안을 유산영향평가(HIA)를 통해 검토해야 한다고 주장했다. 또한 곰소만 전역과 해안사구를 세계자연유산 2단계 등재 권고문에 포함하고, 새만금 갯벌을 3단계 확대 등재 대상에 반영할 것을 촉구했다.
