전북대, 국내 최대 규모 청년 시·소설 문학상 공모

Jeonbuk University is currently accepting submissions for the largest literary awards in Korea, the 'Garam Lee Byung-gi Youth Poetry Literature Award' and the 'Choi Myung-hee Youth Novel Literature Award,' until the 31st of this month.

Organized by Jeonbuk University Press and Broadcasting, this literary award is divided into categories for university students and high school students, accepting poems and short stories. Participants must submit at least three poems, including traditional poems, and at least one short story.

The origin of the literary awards dates back to the 'Jeonbuk University Newspaper Student Works Submission' that began in 1955, and Choi Myung-hee was also selected in 1971 for her novel 'Jeongok.'

Over the years, the awards have produced many writers such as Kwon Sang-hyuk, Kim Hak-chan, Son Hong-gyu, Jeon Ari, and Heo Tae-yeon, as well as poets like Park Sung-jun, Lee Hye-mi, and Jo Yul, playing a role in discovering new writers.
