전북대학교 건강가정지원사업단(단장 정유진 아동학과 교수)이 올해부터 강화되는 전북특별자치도 아이돌봄서비스의 광역 총괄 지원을 맡아 질적 수준 향상에 나선다.

이번 개편은 성평등가족부의 「2026년 아이돌봄지원사업 지침」에 따라 추진되는 것으로, 정부 지원 대상 확대와 ‘아이돌봄사 국가자격제’ 도입이 핵심이다. 전북대는 도내 아이돌봄서비스 기관 운영 지원과 인력 양성, 교육체계 구축 등 현장 실행 전반을 담당한다.

올해부터 정부 지원 대상은 기존 중위소득 200% 이하에서 250% 이하 가구까지 확대돼 맞벌이 가구 등도 새롭게 혜택을 받게 된다. 한부모·조손·장애 부모 가정 등에 대한 정부 지원 시간도 연 960시간에서 1,080시간으로 늘어난다.

인구 감소 지역에 대한 추가 지원도 시행된다. 정부는 이용 가정 본인부담금의 10%를 추가 지원하며, 전북에서는 고창·김제·남원·무주·부안·순창·임실·장수·정읍·진안 등 10개 시군이 대상이다.

오는 4월 23일부터 시행되는 ‘아이돌봄사 국가 자격제’에 따라 기존 아이돌보미는 국가 인증 자격 체계로 전환된다. 전북대는 아동학과와 연계한 교육과정 강화 및 체계적 양성·보수교육을 통해 돌봄 인력 전문성 제고에 나설 계획이다.

김병수 전북특별자치도아이돌봄광역지원센터장은 “국가자격을 갖춘 전문 인력을 중심으로 안전하고 신뢰할 수 있는 전북형 아이돌봄 환경을 구축하겠다”며 “양적 확대와 질적 향상을 동시에 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Health and Family Support Center at Jeonbuk University, led by Director Jung Yoo-jin, a professor in the Department of Child Studies, is taking steps to enhance the quality of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province's Idol Care Service starting this year.

This restructuring is being carried out in accordance with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's "2026 Idol Care Support Program Guidelines," with the key focus being on expanding government support and introducing the 'National Qualification System for Idol Care Providers.' Jeonbuk University will be responsible for overseeing the operation support, manpower development, and establishment of an educational system for idol care services within the province.

Starting this year, the eligibility for government support has been expanded from households with a median income of 200% or less to 250% or less, allowing dual-income households and others to benefit from the program. The government support hours for single-parent, bereaved, and disabled parent families have also been increased from 960 hours to 1,080 hours per year.

Additional support will be provided for areas experiencing a decline in population. The government will provide an additional 10% subsidy for the user's copayment, with 10 cities and counties in Jeonbuk, including Gochang, Gimje, Namwon, Muju, Buan, Suncheon, Imsil, Jangsu, Jeongeup, and Jinan, being eligible for this support.

Starting from April 23, the implementation of the 'National Qualification System for Idol Care Providers' will lead to the transition of existing idol caregivers to a national certification system. Jeonbuk University plans to enhance the educational curriculum in collaboration with the Department of Child Studies, provide systematic training and continuing education to improve the professionalism of care providers.

Kim Byung-soo, the director of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Idol Care Metropolitan Support Center, stated, "We will establish a safe and trustworthy idol care environment in Jeonbuk based on specialized professionals with national qualifications," adding, "We will pursue both quantitative expansion and qualitative improvement simultaneously."
