중견 화가 이정희가 서른 번째 개인전을 연다.

이정희 작가는 오는 10일부터 15일까지 교동미술관에서 <우주(뇌)의 현 展(The Cosmic(Brain) Strings)>을 주제로 제30회 개인전을 개최한다. 전시 오픈식은 10일 오후 4시에 열린다.

이번 전시는 인간과 우주, 자연과 사람, 과거와 미래 등 다양한 관계의 흐름을 시각적으로 풀어낸 작품들로 구성된다. 아크릴 물감과 오브제를 활용한 작업을 중심으로 하며 일부 수채화 작품도 함께 선보인다.

이 작가는 1980년대 학창시절 미술반 활동을 통해 화가의 꿈을 키웠으며 결혼 후 다시 창작을 시작했다. 2015년 교동미술관에서 <빛>을 주제로 첫 개인전을 열며 전북 화단에 이름을 알렸고, 수채화 특유의 ‘물맛’과 여백을 살린 표현으로 주목받았다.

지난 40여 년 동안 <장미카페>, <음(Sound)>, <그날의 시선>, <자작의 사치>, <내가 그리는 꿈> 등 다양한 연작을 발표해왔다. 최근에는 관계성과 군집성을 주제로 한 ‘우주(뇌)의 현’ 시리즈 작업에 집중하고 있다.

작가는 “사람과 사람, 인간과 자연 등 다양한 관계 속에서 살아가는 현대인의 모습을 시각화하려 했다”며 “작업을 할 수 있는 그날까지 작가로서의 탐험을 계속하고 싶다”고 말했다.

Mid-career artist Lee Jung-hee is holding her thirtieth solo exhibition.

Artist Lee Jung-hee will hold her 30th solo exhibition titled at the Gyo-dong Art Museum from the 10th to the 15th. The exhibition opening ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on the 10th.

This exhibition consists of works that visually express the flow of various relationships such as between humans and the universe, nature and people, past and future. The works mainly utilize acrylic paint and objects, with some watercolor paintings also being showcased.

The artist nurtured her dream of becoming a painter through art activities in her school days in the 1980s and resumed her creative work after getting married. In 2015, she gained recognition in the Jeonbuk art scene by holding her first solo exhibition on the theme of at the Gyo-dong Art Museum, where she garnered attention for her watercolor works that capture the unique 'taste of water' and use of space.

Over the past 40 years, she has presented various series such as , , , , and . Recently, she has been focusing on her series of works titled 'The Cosmic(Brain) Strings', which explore themes of relationships and clustering.

The artist stated, "I tried to visualize the appearance of modern people living in various relationships such as between individuals and between humans and nature," adding, "I want to continue my exploration as an artist until the day I can no longer create."
